Principal's Message
I am delighted to welcome you to our website and to this wonderful school! Dixie Canyon has a well-deserved reputation as an exceptional school, where every adult is committed to serving children and improving student achievement.
Dixie Canyon is a School for Advanced Studies (SAS) where instruction is differentiated to meet the needs of gifted and talented students. However, we are dedicated to a vision that all students are entitled to the highest-quality education. Differentiation ensures that all students including English Language Learners, students with special needs, gifted students and at-risk students have access to a stimulating, nurturing, and challenging education. Teachers, staff, parents and community members are justifiably proud of stellar test scores. But test scores are only part of the story; our staff not only provides a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum, but also provides enriching and creative opportunities for all students.
The exceptional work done in the classroom could not be fully realized without the selfless commitment of parents and community. The energy level of our PTA is palpable and contagious. Through the efforts of these dedicated volunteers, Dixie Canyon is able to provide creative and enriching activities and supplies needed to ensure a complete and excellent elementary school experience for our students. I hope everyone gets involved.
Most importantly, our school is filled with interested and interesting students. They are curious and kind and are the future leaders of our country. There are no finer students anywhere and they are the inspiration for all we do.
